It disrupts Amir green world of having Baba affection creating Amir mad world of guilt and jealousy that he cannot have the same affection and connection that he longs to have with Baba. Amir's inner conflict and changing views on Hassan demonstrate that he is a dynamic character. In contrast, Hassan is a flat character in these chapters his innocence and loyalty constants, although in some areas of the book he sheds the flat characters and presents a round character that Hosseini presents to give Hassan some depth to his character, but he nevertheless plays a crucial part in shaping Amir's emotional development.
