A Mocking bird's job is to bring joy to other people, they commit no faults and harm no one. In our modern society two-time Olympic gold medalist Yuzuru Hanyu would be an amazing example. He looks to do nothing but make people happy from seeing him skate. His whole goal is too see people smile; in fact his skating isn't the only thing he contributes to peoples' lives. Even when he is struck in the face with tragedy, his first thought falls on others. "Hanyu endured the defining experience of his life and career" ( Pyeongchang Olympic Channel). Referring to the earthquake and tsunami in his home town at age 16, the line above tells of how the disaster changed everything in not only his life but the lives of many others. This incident resulting in him donating his gold medal prize money to the Sendai repair efforts both times.

Mr. Hanyu's good luck charm and companion Winnie The Pooh goes everywhere with him, soon he began being showered with Pooh bears at every competition. "Yuzuru Hanyu donates all those Winnie the Pooh bears that get thrown on the ice to local charities wherever he's skating" (NBC OLYMPICS). He often donates them to local children organizations an hospitals in towns hosting competitions. (Image below shows most of what was thrown on ice at the 2018 Pyeongchang Olympics after Hanyu's long program.)

1)The first song would be "Guts over Fear by Eminem. This song would equate perfectly with Arthur "Boo" Radley. The song goes "This is the only thing I, thing I know...anytime anything went wrong I was the one they would blame it on...should I make waves or not" ( Genius lyrics). The first line would intertwine with the fact that Boo never leaves his home in broad daylight, something he is accustom too and doesn't feel very comfortable changing. The second part would go along with the fact that whenever things mysteriously disappeared or happened in the town of Maycomb Boo was blamed and the matter dismissed. The third line would express his feelings while saving Scout and Jem from Mr. Ewell since he had never been out in the open in such a way.

2) The second song is "Love Is Our Weapon by Never Shout Never. This song would fit for Scout, Jem and Dill concerning the Trial. Some parts that would contribute to the plot being "We got a hard day coming if we can't work out All the pissy little problems that we're fightin' about...I never got involved in politics 'Cause they always brought out the worst in my folks...'Cause we all want change
And we want it now" (Genius lyrics). These lyrics bring upon the subject of discrimination and unfairness that have been talked about in the book. It also reflects the feeling that the children have on the case and how they dislike the way people of color are perceived in their society. After the Tom Robinson case Jem becomes angry at the fact that Tom had been found guilty despite the evidence supporting his innocence. The kids all wish for the people of their town to be more accepting as the lyrics in the song explain

3) The third song is "Loud" by Motionless In White. This song would best identify with Atticus as he defends what he believes in. Parts of the song go as such, "Underpaid, you graduate to build somebody else's dream...When nobody hears you - You gotta stand up, you gotta commit...So they fuel your pain with fear and shame and then hand you a brochure" (genius lyrics). These lyrics fit the character of Atticus with quite perfection. His job revolves around the idea of making other peoples' lives better and keeping them from being wrongly convicted. Even when people side with the opposition (Mr. Ewell) he continues to proudly voice what he strongly believes in which is Tom's innocence. As the last line given will go alone with the fact that although the people of the town voiced distaste with his opinion, he carried on regardless.

4) Fourth would be "The Red" By then band Chevelle. These lyrics being about Tom Robinson are self explanatory themselves. "They say freak, When you're singled out...So lay down, The threat is real, when his sight goes red again" (Genius lyrics). This song highlights the hate that had been spewed on Tom as the story and case progress. The people of Alabama attempted to harm him in his holding sell, threatening his life over a faulty accusation. His whole life to begin with had been threatened by the case in itself with not much of a chance being found innocent no matter the amount of evidence there was to support him.

5) Last but not least on the list will be "Castle Of Glass" By Linkin Park. Going back to Scout and Jem and the anger they felt about the injustice and hatred shown by the town. "Cause i'm only a crack in this castle of glass. Hardly anything there for you to see...through the secrets that I have seen. Wash the sorrow from off my skin"(Genius lyrics). The anger the kids feel with the fact that their town has such distaste with innocent people couldn't be compared to anything. They looked for Atticus to fix things as the last line would indicate; making everything better. The children understand that they, much like a crack, are quite small and looked over at the moment and cannot do much about the current situation.

History is a big component of the U.S educational system and the fact of the matter is that inequality is a huge part of our history and disappointingly modern life as well. The book "To Kill A Mocking Bird" highlights and explores the bold yet dark period in history when discrimination played a huge role in society. In fact the racism goes both ways, as shown in the book when Jem and Scout follow Cal to church and are confronted by a woman of color; "You ain't got no business bringin' white chillun here—they got their church, we got our'n. It is our church, ain't it, Miss Cal?" (48). The job of educators is too give information untouched my opinion. When taught about war no one side is said to be correct in a history class, all sides are shown giving nothing but information. That is something the story clearly shows and the hate, crime, and anger many people faced trying to do nothing but be treated like humans. The racial slurs used in the story are a pure fact of life as well and are nothing to avoid and attempt forgetting. The author herself simply giving the facts, the facts that these things happened and the young generations must be educated to ensure history is not repeated.
