Hades tricked Hercules into giving him his powers by trapping meg and ,saying if u give me your powers then meg will be safe and he. also released a lava monster and a ice monster because Zeus is to strong and heads can't fight for himself.

In the book Hercules at first he was stolen as a baby and was raised in a .small town in Greece then he found out that he was adopted and went on a quest , find his dad Zeus when he found him Hercules.said he want,s to be a hero and then his father told him that he will send him to Phil. Phil trained his to become a hero then, they came open a town and Hercules battled a monster .and became famous and then that's when he met meg and they fell in love and then they found out she was working for heads .and then trapped meg to trick Hercules into giving him his powers and then meg got. hurt trying to save Hercules so Hercules dived in the under would to save her soul and then decided to become a mortal.
