Students investigate word histories, analyzing how a word’s original meaning is intact and how it has changed.

Students investigate:
How did these words take on the meanings that they hold in this historical period?
Who or what does this word's etymology and usage serve?
What connotations do these words have, and have those connotations changed through time?
Do we still use these words the same way today?
