We can learn how closely related these topics really are and how the process of decolonization is related to the cold war through different countries' dependency on larger nations, and how they were able to become independent. This was through means of siding with either the US or the USSR.

" The U.S. was deeply supportive of a free-market, capitalist world economy, whereas the Soviet Union was the world’s largest centralized, command economy."- found in 8.0 Unit 8 Overview. This difference in the way of economy had caused a large difference in people's views (a partition) as they were at debate for which system was better for their country.

We can also learn about how both of these topics relate through the networks and communities frames. This comes as the cold war had a global effact that was based around the superpowers of the US and the USSR which had major affects on the communities who were siding with either one of the powers. While there was also the affects of decolonization reaching networks far around the world as they had become independent, this meant that the people were now able to be considered free of their former nation(this is where is would affect the communities of these countries).
