<title>The tutorial was very informative, engaging and well-delivered. I found the topic of today&#39;s case study thought-provoking and relevant. My reading goals were achieved, therefore I read Chapter 6 &quot;Leading Global organizations&quot; in which the global leadership is explained from the concept that it is not a glove that fits all sizes or occasions; the differences in the foundations of leadership in China and West are interestingly explained from the philosophical perspective. I also read an article by Doney &quot;National culture and trust&quot; which emphasizes various perspectives on trust recognition, the importance of trust in the global workplace based on the framework that identifies trust-building processes. The lecture was interactive and well-presented.</title>

<title>Even though it is still difficult for me to speak up in a class, it is becoming less distress to join a discussion and express my thoughts. This is because I am interested in this course, especially cultural difference dimensions. The more I become familiar with the cultural dimensions, the more I am able to enjoy learning about them. I would like to say that this course is the most exciting to me.</title>

<title>Today I am very conscious that this Master is expecting to us. We need too study, and in particular reading articles in order to improve first our writing, and also to get more vocabularies. I think very interesting the course Managing Across Culture, as I want to work abroad. It gives such an enriched course.</title>

<title>The course so far is becoming rather interesting despite my belief that most of the theories are based on assumption. Especially Molinsky&#39;s theories which are a bit far fetching. They are based on what he believes and not in favour of everyone, no matter their gender, culture, race, religion and behaviours.</title>

<title>In this course, we learnt about more difference between people who come from different countries, and we can make work more effectively if we could understand the diversity of cultures and behaviors. For the case of Johannes van den Bosch, he might be decreased some issues if he knows more about the special characteristic of Mexican in advance, and communicate wisely and efficiently.</title>

<title>This week, we&#39;ve been summarizing our acculturation profile, we have been also accessing the cultural code of our native country along six code determinants depending on the score level from low to high. Then we accessed our comfort zone and compared the results with the UK culture and how we customize our behaviour. Therefore, we talked about gaps and overlaps; limitations of the model were also taken into consideration and discussed with out tutor Dr Antoinette Saint Hilaire. Another inspiring lecture related to global assignments and challenges of expatriates followed by sharing personal experience. Regarding reading homework, read chapter 5 &quot;Communicating across cultures&quot;, found it to be very interesting; academic article by Harvey and Moller &quot;Expatriate Managers&quot;, therefore the article was related to today&#39;s lecture. It scrutinizes the newness and complexity of expatriate management by examining previous successes and failures; identifies challenges for characteristics expatriate managers, it highlights that traits such as flexibility, open-mildness, tolerance contributed to expats success. Furthermore, our guest-expatriate also emphasized that she became more flexible and patient after her experience working abroad and immersing herself in different culture. After lecture, I watched the recommended videos &quot;Living in Shanghai&quot;. Overall, productive and enjoyable week.</title>

<title>As I am becoming interested in this course&#39;s topics, especially today&#39;s learning was very interesting to me. One of the reason why I felt so is because the topic &quot;culture shock&quot; or &quot;Identifying the particular challenges&quot; is to gain deep understanding of myself in other words. As I am learning across cultural differences, I am also learning how to deal with my own difficulties in another country at the same time. This is not only giving me some academic knowledge but is also very useful and crucial to me to continue studying positively.</title>

<title>I was able to understand the term culture. I was also able to analyse and understand the different characteristics of culture. In the end I was able to learn the descriptive models of national culture.</title>

<title>Now I am studying in UK, and I met some challenges. Sometimes, I will misunderstand the meaning and feel myself like fool, however, I learnt for these mistakes or experiences, and get more understanding about culture and behaviors. From this course, I realize that other classmates come from different countries also have confusions and challenges same as me, we all know more about difference of culture. The most important thing is I feel a little bit relax and decrease some stress when I understand the culture conflict and behavior difference.</title>
