Sustainable Development Goal 11 is specifically geared towards

people with disabilities and explicitly emphasizes the importance of

the principle of “leaving no one behind” as a fundamental element.

This provides significant scope for the inclusion of people with

disabilities in international development initiatives and, more

broadly, in society as a whole. People with disabilities, together

with other particpiants, are involved in the design and

implementation of this exchange with the aim of understanding,

helping and adopting human values such as empathy, tolerance,

respect, caring for others, and mutual assistance.
