It can rearrange its structure and operation. Numerous traits that define the human experience would only be possible for humans to achieve with neuroplasticity. Learning, growing, and creating memories are all included in this.

Metacognition- Being conscious of and in charge of what one thinks is known as metacognition. For a more thorough explanation, go to the above. Control over metacognition requires the learner to modify their approach and adopt new tactics.

Multisensory engagement- Reading and hearing are just two aspects of multimodal instruction. Instead, it attempts to engage every sensation. The five senses of taste, smell, touch, sight, hearing, and movement will not all be used in every course. However, students interact with the information in several ways during most multimodal classes.

Quotes:

(Referring to neuroplasticity) "Your brain can learn how to heal or hurt itself, as well as be healed or hurt by outside influences." (Jensen & McConchie, 2020, Ch. 5). This information is vital for educators because our choices, regardless of whether we view them as big or small decisions have lasting effects on a student's ability to reap the full benefits of neuroplasticity. We can help students heal or be a factor in their inability to recover.

Jensen, E., & McConchie, L. (2020). Brain-based learning: Teaching the way students really learn (3rd ed.). Sage Publications.

(Referring to multisensory teaching and learning) "Why is any of this significant to you as an educator? First, many of these sensory inputs have a direct impact on learning. If you don't have a high awareness of others around you, you'll likely get labeled as having low social intelligence. If you do have a good grasp of those around you, you'll likely do well in school (Meijs, Cillessen, Scholte, Segers, & Spijkerman, 2008)." (Jensen & McConchie, 2020, Ch. 3). Students are more likely to retain information if they use many senses to understand it. Better recall of the skill is the outcome. However, students who learn and think in diverse ways may find multimodal learning beneficial. The primary advantage of multimodal education is its ability to increase student retention. To guarantee that each student is engaged and able to access the material in a way that works for them, the secret to successful multisensory teaching is including various sensory experiences while organizing a session.

Jensen, E., & McConchie, L.

I chose this video because it illustrates the many brain areas engaged for various purposes. As educators, we need to know which brain areas are active at different times during the learning process and how. However, by realizing that these brain areas have a role in the learning process, we can design our lesson plans to target additional brain regions and include movement and activity to help reinforce these memories in long-term memory.
