Capitalism is known to breed competition, but in recent years, the competitions has begun to occur among consumers. With women specifically, there are always pressures in regards to being to best or to "stand out." With mass amounts of products being produced by companies and trends constantly changing, new standards of how to be the "it" girl arise, which ultimately turn women against each other.

There is an obsession which surrounds putting out the "best version of yourself" and creating an inauthentic image of someone's life. When people (usually women) strive so hard for perfection, they often don't portray a genuine and realistic image of their lives.
