I don't work now, but my most recent job was at a nursing home, as a CNA, and a sales associate at Victoria's Secret. I'm in nursing school because of past, family experiences; my mother was ill for a long part of my life and witnessing how having a good, versus bad nurse, was a major influence in her day and recovery pretty much inspired me. I want to be the good nurse. A favorite quote of mine is, "They may forget what you said, but they will never forget how you made them feel." - Mary Angelou. I believe it was a calling. I also come from a long line of nurses/HCP from many different cultural backgrounds, so that also plays a factor in why I love the field so much! I'd really like to go into NICU, LD, or women's health, but other fields (trauma, anesthesiology, and orthopedics) have caught my eye. I know I'll find my place :)  I can't say just one thing that is amazing about my life - personally I think life on it's own is amazing. I do particularly love my family, friends, and my goofy dog, Carter. Oh, and coffee. For the future, I'd like to pursue a Master's of Nursing eventually and become an FNP.
