A individual that has impacted Keesh is the council. In the “Story Of Keesh” the council inspired him to provide meat for the village. In the “Story Of Keesh” it states that “Na! Na!” The man cried. “Put the child to put!” “Send him off to bed!” This piece of evidence shows that the council mistreated Keesh because he confronted the council and as a result the council mistreated Keesh. Further more Keesh felt the need to go hunting for himself because the council would not. In the “Story Of Keesh” it states that “ I, too, shall go and hunt the meat that I eat.” This piece of evidence shows that Keesh was pervoked by the council in order to hunt for the meat. Therefore Keesh was Impacted by the council in order to go hunting.

One individual the motivated Keesh was his father because when his father died when he fought the polar bear to protect his people. According to the text in “Story of Keesh” it states that, “The father of Keesh had been a very brave man, but he had met his death in a time of famine, when he sought to save lives of his people by taking the life of a great polar bear”. This piece of evidence shows that his father had died and protected his people. In addition, Keesh’s father knew he was going to die by killing the bear without any weapons and took the risk for his death to inspire Keesh. And that also thought him to stand up to the council when they doubted him . In the text it also states, “My mother has no one save me; whoever I speak. As I say, though Bok be dead because he hunted over-keenly, it is just that I, who am his son, and that Ikeega, who is my mother and was his wife, should not have meat in plenty so long as there be meat in plenty in the tribe”. This piece of evidence shows that Keesh Was motivated by his father according from his death.

An individual who motivated the main protagonist is the council because of their answer towards Keesh when he spoke to them, they provoke Keesh to grow a back bone and get his own meat. "Never shall I speak in the council again, never again till the men come to me and say, 'It is well Keesh, that thou shouldst speak, it is well and it is our wish.' Take this now, ye men, for my last word." This evidence shows that Keesh is now motivated to make the council regret doubting
him. “Jeers and scornful laughter followed him out the igloo, but his jaw was set and he went his way, looking neither to right or left.” This shows how the councils response had affected Keesh enough to go hunting the next day and to return weeks later with ‘fresh-killed meat’. In conclusion an individual who motivated Keesh was the council because the were so rude and doubtful about Keeshs words, in saying he wasn’t worthy enough, the council provoked him to stand up and prove the council wrong.

As I say, though Bok be dead becasuse he hunted overkeenly, it is just that I, who am his son, and that Ikeega, who is my mother and was his wife, should have meat in plenty so long as there be meat in plenty in the tribe.” This shows Keesh talking to the council about him being his son and the things that his father did. Keesh also says that he is inspired by his work and the things he has done and which motivated him to stand up to the council in the first place. According to the text it states, “I, Keesh, the son of Bok, have spoken. He sat down, his ears keenly alert of the flood of protest and indignation his words had created.” This shows them talking about Keesh’s fathers work and the things he has created.

The individual that inspired or motivated Keesh was the Council. The Council inspired Keesh because they were hating on Keesh and saying that he wasn’t worthy enough to hunt or to be a man. In “The Story Of Keesh” it states, “ Na! Na!” The men cried. “ Put the child out!” Send him off to bed!” “He is no man that he should talk to men and graybeards!”. This piece of evidence explicitly shows that the Council motivated Keesh because they were hating on him and saying that he wasn’t a man, and shouldn’t be in their discussions. Another piece of evidence to support that the Council motivated Keesh, is in “The Story Of Keesh”, it states, “ Early next morning, however, Keesh strode into the village. But he came not shamefacedly. Across his shoulders he burden of fresh killed meat. And there was importance in his step and arrogance in his speech.” This piece of evidence shows that the council inspired Keesh because the council said he wasn’t a man, but then that pushed Keesh to hunt and become a man to prove the Council wrong. This is how the Council motivated or inspired Keesh.

He was inspired by his father because he learned from his father through his action and wanted to become like his father. For example " those who saw him go noted that he carried his bow, with a goodly supply of bone-barbed arrows, and that across his shoulder was his father's big hunting spear". This shows that he was inspired by his father's hunting skills and spear. Another example " the father of keesh had been a very brave man, but he had met his death in a time of famine, when he sought to save the lives of his people by taking the life of a polar bear. Keesh was his only son, and after that keesh lived alone with his mother ". This shows that after this day keesh survived his life has changed after his father past away.

According to “The Story of Keesh” it states “They ordered him to bed, threatened that he should have no meat at all and promised him sore beatings for his presumption.” As a result of the councils actions, Keesh was motivated to hunt and provide for himself without the help of the council. It also states in the text, “Never again shall I speak to the council again. And no widow nor weak one shall cry in the night because there is no meat, when the strong men are groaning in great pain for that they have eaten overmuch.” This explains that Keesh promised to support and provide for his village.

In the narrative we learned that certain individuals impact keesh's life, whether they like or hated him. one person that motivated keesh was his father Bok. His father motivated him because he pushed him to survive and become a good hunter. In the text it states " Bok, my father, was a great hunter, I, too, his son, shall go and hunt the meat that i eat." This shows how Bok keesh's father motivated him. In the text it also states " Those who saw him go noted that he carried his bow, with a goodly supply of bone barbed arrows, and that across his shoulder was his fathers hunting-spear. This also shows how Bok motivated keesh to survive.

One individual that inmpacts Keeh's life is Bok. Bok impacts Keesh's life because he inspires him to provide good for the village. On the text it states, "Bok, my father, was a great hunter. I, too, his son, shall go and hunt the meat that I eat." This shows that Bok inspires him to hunt for meat for his village because he is saying that since is the son of who used to be the greatest hunter, he should be the one to hunt for the meat. It also states, "Those who saw him go noted that he carried his bow l, with a goodly supply of bone-varbed arrows, and that across his shoulder was his father's big hunting spear." This conveys that Keesh' s father, Bok, inspires Keesh to find meat for his village because he used his father's big spear to bring the meat for the village.

The person Keesh was inspired by was his father, Bok because he was a talented hunter. For example, when he went to the council he said “Bok,my father, was a great hunter.I , his son, shall go and hunt the meat”. This showed Keesh was going to be a hunter like his father. Another example is “across his shoulder was his father’s big hunting spear”. This shows that he took his father’s spear. This is why Keesh was inspired by his father

The individual that inspired Keesh is the council. The council inspired Keesh because when he asked for a more fair portion of the meat the council said that he is a boy and he should not be telling them what to do. A detail from "Na! Na! The men cried. Put the child out! Send him off to bad! He is no man that he should talk to men and greybeards!" This shows how the council were mad at Keesh when he wanted a fair portion of the meat. Another detail is They ordered him to bed, threatened that he should have no meat at all, and promised him a sore beatings for his presumption. This detail shows how the council were mad for what Keesh had ask for which was more meat for his mom and him. This motivated him to go out in the Arctic and go hunt because if he didn't he wouldn't have gotten what he wanted(meat). All in all this shows how the council inspired Keesh to want to go out and hunt.
