This is Mindy, I'm from China. The three-year period of the COVID-19 First of all, on a social level, the strict national epidemic control measures, trip codes, health codes, 48-hour nucleic acid negative certificates, and layers of policies make it more and more difficult to go out and travel. During the epidemic, there have been numerous closures and bankruptcies of brick-and-mortar stores, the first being travel agencies, where tour guides have lost their jobs and switched to other industries. The air transport industry was also close to a standstill, and hotels received frequent cancellations, but some hotels changed their thinking and converted to quarantine hotels, gradually turning the tide. In addition, from a personal point of view, tourists can no longer travel at will, to consider not only the "money" and "leisure", but also for their own and their family's health, so the number of travel greatly reduced, but the domestic strict control of up to three years has seen the light of day. I hope that in the near future, China can also open its borders, tourists from all countries can come to China to play, and overseas travelers can also return to the country.

1.How tourism is impacting the country economy during the pandemic?

Answer:Tourism is a major contributor to the economy of many countries, and the COVID-19 pandemic has had a significant impact on the tourism industry.

In the early stages of the pandemic, many countries implemented travel restrictions and closed their borders, which led to a sharp decrease in international tourism. This had a major economic impact on countries that rely heavily on tourism, as the industry is a major source of employment and income.

As the pandemic has continued, some countries have begun to ease travel restrictions and reopen their borders to tourists. However, the tourism industry is still facing many challenges, including reduced demand, changes to travel policies, and health and safety concerns.

In general, the impact of the pandemic on the tourism industry has been negative, as many businesses have struggled or closed, and many people have lost their jobs. However, the extent of the impact has varied depending on the country and the specific sector of the tourism industry.

In order to support the tourism industry and help it recover from the impacts of the pandemic, many countries have implemented measures such as financial aid for businesses and incentives for travelers. It is likely that the tourism industry will continue to face challenges in the coming months and years, but it is also possible that it will gradually recover as the pandemic comes under control and people feel more confident about traveling again.

2.What new trends have emerged in the tourism industry in the post-epidemic era?
Anwer:Some possible trends that could emerge in the post-epidemic tourism industry include:

Increased demand for domestic tourism: Many people may choose to vacation closer to home in the post-epidemic era, either due to health and safety concerns or travel restrictions. This could lead to an increase in demand for domestic tourism.

Growth of digital technologies: The pandemic has led to an acceleration of the use of digital technologies in the tourism industry, such as online booking platforms and virtual tours. These technologies are likely to continue to play a larger role in the industry in the future.

Focus on health and safety: The pandemic has brought health and safety concerns to the forefront of people's minds, and it is likely that travelers will continue to prioritize these concerns in the post-epidemic era. This could lead to the adoption of new health and safety measures, such as increased cleaning and disinfection, temperature checks, and the use of personal protective equipment.

Changes in travel patterns: The pandemic has disrupted traditional travel patterns, and it is possible that these changes will persist in the long term. For example, some people may choose to take fewer, longer vacations rather than multiple short trips.

3.How tourism companies can save themselves in the post-epidemic era?

Answer:Diversify products and services: One way to increase revenue and decrease reliance on a single source of income is to diversify products and services. For example, a tour operator could add new types of tours or offer services such as transportation or accommodations.

Embrace digital technologies: The pandemic has accelerated the use of digital technologies in the tourism industry, and companies that are able to adapt and leverage these technologies may be better positioned to recover in the post-epidemic era. This could include things like investing in an online booking platform or offering virtual tours.

Focus on health and safety: In the post-epidemic era, it is likely that health and safety will be a top concern for travelers. Companies that are able to demonstrate that they are taking steps to protect the health and safety of their customers will be more attractive to travelers.

Adapt to changing travel patterns: The pandemic has disrupted traditional travel patterns, and it is possible that these changes will persist in the long term. Companies that are able to adapt to these changes and offer products and services that meet the needs of a changing market may be better able to survive in the post-epidemic era.

Explore new markets: In the post-epidemic era, it may be beneficial for companies to explore new markets and diversify their customer base. This could involve targeting new geographic regions or expanding into new types of tourism.

1. Tourism businesses need some time to repair themselves. The vast majority of tourism businesses were able to cope with the impact of the prolonged and severe epidemic by cutting staff and reducing expenditure to survive. During the epidemic, a significant number of businesses were closed or semi-operational, with not only decaying facilities and equipment, but also a large number of staff lost. For many businesses, once the tourism market recovers and the number of travelers increases, it will be difficult to cope with the operating conditions, reception facilities, production capacity and service teams.

2. The initial stage of tourism recovery, the market opportunities are reduced. After the epidemic, the source market has changed significantly. As a result of the epidemic, the economic strength, market confidence and willingness to travel of urban and rural residents differed greatly, with some impatient travelers intending to travel and some psychologically worried and uncertain travelers, as well as those whose economic strength is difficult to pay for medium- and long-distance travel. In particular, many people are psychologically scared after the liberalisation of the vaccination policy. They feel that they have to wait and are not eager to decide to travel, which is a clear constraint to travel.
