It is difficult to select just one favorite memory or experience!! Meeting colleagues in person at events and conferences, realizing that work colleagues have become a second “family,” of sorts, each reflect many of my favorite moments (between KU and PG).

Similarly, several years ago, I received an email from a student who had been a student in one of my American Women (SS360) sections when PG was KU; she had experienced a life-changing event, and took a 2-year break from the completion of her degree. When she returned to school, KU had become PG, and she was enrolled in one of my American Government (SS236) sections; in an email to me, she indicated that the support of her previous instructors in MaPS (at the time, the School of General Education) had been the reason she returned to complete her degree!

This was the day that I knew with 100% certainty that this job would change my life. it's been more than 13 years since this day - and even though the way we work together has changed - I still work side by side with these same people. I wouldn't have it any other way!!!

Going to the Very Merry Christmas Party at the Magic Kingdom in 2018 with some of my math department co-workers is a core memory for me :) I miss Lea Rosenberry and Tami Tacker so much! Kirsten Meymaris - we must do this again someday!!!

With over a decade of memories to comb through it is difficult to pick just one. But March, 2018 does stand out because that was when we became Purdue Global. It was then that we began a journey of transformation. I love what we have become and how we continue to evolve. Here's to the years gone by with a look to the future we are building.

Dawn Cox (Math department) I don't have any photos of this. In 2009, Kaplan made it a policy to invite a certain number of adjuncts to attend the college graduation ceremonies. They paid for the expenses! I was chosen to go since I had been teaching for the math department since the basic beginning. Meeting my colleagues in the math and science departments was so fun. America Ferrera (Ugly Betty) was the speaker at graduation. Her speech was surprisingly inspiring. What an experience.

I want to thank Deb Page (Indianapolis Campus) for saving me during the Kaplan to Purdue Global transition! At one point I was tutoring on the Indianapolis campus, teaching adjunct classes, and working my normal job of teaching high school students! So thankful I made the transition!

I have so many great memories! I love it when we can get together in person and hang out. Once, Tyra Hall-Pogar and I got together at our local Starbucks to work on a presentation when we lived in the same town. This picture is from NSTA 2017 with Annissa Furr. This past weekend I also had the BEST time at PG graduation. Watching our students make it across the stage is a very moving experience. ~Amy Smith

Does anyone remember the early beginnings of the The Gauge? I fondly remember kicking off Capstone Literary Magazine with some former and current KU/PG colleagues. The original 2012 editorial board included myself, Barbara Green, Ellen Manning, Brandi Granett, Carrie Hannigan, Jeff Hanson, Terry Fletcher, Michael Rectenwald, Sandra "Lou" Maenz, and Nicole McInnes.
