 , materials engineering, and 
transportation engineering. A civil engineer is a person who plans, designs, constructs, maintains, and operates infrastructures while protecting the public and environmental health, as well as improving existing infrastructure that may have been neglected. When working on designs, they may spend most of their time indoors in offices. However, construction engineers may spend much of their time outdoors at construction sites monitoring operations or solving onsite problems. The usual salary of a civil engineer is around $56k to $100k per year. <br><br></div>]]></description>
