Adab in Seeking Knowledge

Seeking knowledge is not only about studying but also about manners. Outwardly, we prepare, review, take notes, and ask questions. Inwardly, we learn with the right intention, respect, and consistency. The true goal is to draw closer to Allah, becoming a better human being by learning to know, to do, to live together, and to be.

Al-Quran as the Book of Guidance

The Qur’an is the ultimate guide for life. It teaches about Allah’s oneness, creation, prophets, and the Seerah. We should learn it through reliable sources and with proper adab: reciting with wudhu, respect, calmness, and care. Through it, we understand our role as Allah’s creation with responsibilities.

Summary of Usrah for Week 2

In this usrah, I learned about Hadith Jibril which teaches us the core of our religion, Islam, Iman, and Ihsan. It reminded me about the importance of the pillars of Islam like solat, zakat, fasting, and hajj, and also about having strong faith in Allah, His angels, His books, His messengers, and the Day of Judgment. What stood out to me was how Ihsan means worshipping Allah as if we see Him, even though we don’t, but knowing He always sees us. This hadith also shows the right adab in seeking knowledge, like how Jibril sat politely and asked questions. From this, I realized that seeking knowledge should be done with respect, humility, and not being afraid to ask. Overall, this lesson really opened my eyes to the foundations of being a true servant of Allah and how it shapes our life and character.
