Characteristics of organisms demonstrated:

1. Organisms obtain food and respire

2. organisms detect and respond to stimuli, and move

Description:

From the photo, we can see a chameleon preying upon an insect on a tree branch. Also, we can see that the chameleon’s colour somewhat matches the branch’s colour as well. These features of a chameleon shows the characteristics of organisms obtaining food and respire along with characteristics of organisms detecting, responding to stimuli and moving. The prey showing up activates the chameleon’s movement and therefore it tries to get the insect, while the color of the chameleon appears similar to the branch as a protective shield to blend in with its surroundings in case a predator strikes.

Source:

超級斯洛莫變色龍圈套是獵物 蝗蟲 4K 影片檔及更多 變色龍 短片 - 變色龍, 變色, 動物 - iStock

It needs water, carbon dioxide, and sunlight to grow. This process is called photosynthesis, where the plant makes its own food and produces oxygen and glucose, which help it survive.

Source: iStock https://share.google/images/3BY6ztI1sAuG6tb6z

GIBBONS are a species of monkeys. Monkeys are mammals, mammals are animals which are organisms.

This organism (animals) reproduce sexually, obtains food and respire by feeding. They can also detect and respond to stimuli in their environment, mainly jungles or somewhere with many trees and is quite humid. They can move and make noise. Gibbons also erect. I think gibbons have a nice life cycle and are very cute 🤤

Humans are mammals as well, but we are just very developed and have evolved to be how we are now.

Just like most mammals, we need to eat both meat and vegetables. We also need a sufficient amount of water everyday. This was we can have great nutrition and energy.

We breathe with our lungs and take in oxygen and give out carbon dioxide.

Humans reproduce sexually, with a man and a woman. Just like animals. Since we are mammals, we give birth and do not lay eggs.

The human body is complex, but we share many common traits with other mammals, especially monkeys since we are presumed to be their descendants.
