For example, when we discussed the need to be more explicit about strategies to counteract implicit bias, Linda and Colm were incredibly receptive and made the change. That adjustment was especially valuable to the staff—they appreciated that we didn’t just stop at defining implicit bias but went further to clearly outline actionable strategies to address it.
