As tuakana i think that by teaching these waiata to our babies our waiata will live on in them and the tuakana will also find more understanding in it as they teach it to others as they must break these things down for the babies if they intend to teach it.-T.Waititi</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>Mo te kura:</p><p>Ko te reo, whakapapa, tu pakiri, tu mohio, tu tangata</p><p><br></p><p>Living away from home, my hopes for our tamariki in kura (kei Tauranga Moana) would be availability and access to practice and ako i ngā moteatea o Tuhoe ki ngā kura. </p><p><br></p><p>Mo te whaanau:</p><p>Over time we have noticed the disconnect from these knowledges, and as adults we don't often have the opportunities (as a whānau) to ako/practice moteatea.  So i'm thinking our hopes would be to reconnect and ako alongside our tamariki.</p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p><br></p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>MH - He akoranga reo, he akoranga tukanga, akoranga tikanga.  Our aspirations are that our rangatahi become the composers of moteatea based on their experiences, recording references of time, moments of history.</p><p>HM - tetahi rautaki whakaako ki te pupuri - waiata koroua ia ra - in a kura context - normalising it in a whanau concept - so that our tamariki knows that when someone stands to korero we tautoko with waiata.</p><p>TH -  Akene pea ka eke ki te wa - when you have a good look at moteatea, whaikōrero - tikanga stops it from working - is it time to allow more doors to open - me hono te tikanga ki akoranga hou - 'taking the tapu away' - in it's a learning context. How do we aspire when there are iron gates to go through?  He wero!  </p><p>Hui Ahurei - there are whaikōrero, Karanga, wero - we need these ones to come through.  Connecting tikanga with the aspirations of our rangatahi.  The quality and passion belongs to our rangatahi.  </p><p>To entice - he aha te take - kukume i nga rangatahi, a ka kati nga rangatahi i runga i te marae. opening doors but stopping rangatahi at door 2 and saying well no this is tikanga.</p>]]></description>
