         <description><![CDATA[<p>NEWS UPDATE: Dismissed Bulacan 1st District Assistant Engineer Brice Hernandez’s Lamborgini is being handed over to the Independent Commission for Infrastructure (ICI), while a computer is addressed to the Department of Justice (DOJ) containing documents vital for his support and claims amidst the ongoing flood control project anomalies.</p><p><br/></p><p>The turnover of the luxurious car on Wednesday, September 24, is a follow-up from the previous sports car that Hernandez surrendered, and the desktop is a gesture of participation to the ongoing probe regarding the fraud flood projects.</p><p><br/></p><p>According to Atty. Raymond Fortun, Brice’s legal counsel, the former engineer’s actions of surrendering assets are anchored to his motive in entering the Witness Protection Program. </p><p><br/></p><p>On the same day, Hernandez, along with ex-Bulacan engineers Henry Alcantara and Jaypee Mendoza, with controversial contractors Sarah and Curlee Discaya, are now considered “protected witnesses” as per the DOJ.</p><p><br/></p><p>Fortun further explained in an interview with GMA’s Balitanghali that Hernandez has more personalities to reveal as individuals linked to the flood control projects. </p><p><br/></p><p>“Sure ako na may mga personalidad na hindi pa nababanggit and that’s why we are hoping na when Brice submits his affidavit, it can be favorably considered by the DOJ as the starting point for an investigation,” Hernandez’s attorney said.</p><p><br/></p><p>Fortun added, “Today, itong desktop computer, ibibigay dun sa DOJ as a show of sincerity na meron talaga cooperation in order to be qualified to enter the Witness Protection Program”.</p><p><br/></p><p>The DOJ has yet to release a response regarding the matter.</p>]]></description>
