Our stories can generate from the words of others that we encounter in life.

(Born a Crime pg. 142) Being on our own and figuring things out with just our brainpower gives us a sense of independence. It also gives you the best idea and interpretation of your story because you are the only one who experienced it.
3) "I wanted movement and not a calm course of existence. I wanted excitement and danger and the chance to sacrifice myself for my love. I felt in myself a superabundance of energy which found no outlet in our quiet life." (Into the Wild) One way to share our stories with others is getting straight to the point and letting them know what we want.

(Othello) Despite what others may think or say, your story is important and will have an impact on others. 2) "My mom did what school didn't. She taught me how think" (Born a Crime pg. 70) Parental figures are our guidance through early life before we become adults.
3) "He looked pretty pitiful, so I yelled 'Hey, you want a ride somewhere?' I thought maybe we could give him a meal or something." (Into the Wild) Someone is always going to be there for us. Even when or after things get difficult, there will always be someone on their way to pick you up off your feet and guide you through your journey. 
4) "To you I am bound for life and education: My life and education both do learn me." (Othello) Other people may show us what we truly want to do and where we want to be. In order to tell other people a story about us, people need to know about us first.
2) "Language, even more than color, defines who you are to the people." (Born a Crime pg. 56) Communication is the most simple and most obvious way to get ideas across to one another. Communicating and sharing our stories with others allows them to further share our story.
3) "You got to get back out in the world! Get out of that lonely house, that little workshop of yours. Get back out on the road!" (Into the Wild) By sharing others what we love to do and our own stories, it encourages them to do the same. It comes from another source which helps us determine how other people view us rather than just our own views on ourselves.

(Born a Crime pg. 277) From hearing other people's version of a story we witnessed, we learn more about the truth and more about why things happened. It can allow us to change in the future or do better if need be.

There you will find a treasure that will make you a rich man" (Alchemist pg. 14) Something as simple as a dream is not to be ignored. They may lead you to great things.
2) "'You must be careful who you surround yourself with' she'd say, 'because where you are can determine who you are.'" (Born a Crime pg. 223) The experiences that we have with certain people will can determine the person that we become. The person we become can massively impact our purpose.
3) "So many people live within unhappy circumstances and yet will not take the initiative to change their situation." (Into the Wild) Either we make the change in our lives and go after something that has meaning to us or we stay in one spot regretting not making that change. You push through all of the struggles and obstacles to get the most out of life experiences.
2) "Like indigenous peoples around the world, black South Africans adopted the religion of our colonizers. By 'adopt' I mean it was forced on us" (Born a Crime pg. 5) Purpose is something that can be changed and/or forced on us whether we want it to or not. However, whenever that change is made we are immediately sent down a path full of new experiences that will differ from everyone else's
3) "Ten nights of freight trains and hitchhiking bring him to the Great White North." (Into the Wild) You will experience things that you never thought possible or things you didn't even have planned due to your purpose. It brings you out of your comfort zone.

2) "They were confused at first. Because of my color, they thought I was a colored person, but speaking the same languages meant that I belonged to their tribe." (Born a Crime pg. 58) When other people meet you, the point is to figure out who you are. They get more involved in your story and who you are and who you strive to be.
3) "He wasn't what you'd call a typical hitchhiker. Im usually leery of 'em. I figure there's probably something wrong with a guy who can't afford a bus ticket." (Into the Wild) Our purpose gets people involved. The bigger the purpose the more popular it is and it also keeps people curious about you constantly. Everything around you becomes about you.

Sometimes it is obvious, sometimes it's up to us to figure it out.
2) "The only women in my life were my mom and my grandmother and my aunt and my cousin. I had no love interest whatsoever, yet my mom would go off on a whole range of things." (Born a Crime pg. 129) Growing up we are immediately thrown into things that are going to forever change our lives and what we do. It puts ideas into our heads of what we want to do and it constantly pushes us closer to those things. For Trevor Noah it was finding a love interest due to all the women figures in his life.
3) "voyager whose home is the road. Escaped from Atlanta. Thou shalt not return." (Into the Wild) When we know what our purpose is, we may not want anything but to keep following and pursuing that purpose, even if it means never returning to your previous life. 
4) "If after every tempest come such calm, may the winds blow till they have weakened death!" (Othello) Our purpose forces us to push through tough times, however after doing so it makes the experience of our purpose much more enjoyable.
