•Action Potential: A neural impulse/an electrical charge that travels down as an axon.
• Schemas: Mental molds into which we pour our experiences. 
Ex: A two year old named Gabriella. She learned the scheme for a cow from a picture book. She sees a moose and called it a cow. She's trying to Assimilate the new animal in her schema. She accommodates her scheme for shaggy animals and continue to modify it etc.

•Assimilation: involves incorporating new experiences into current understanding. 
Ex: Trying to differentiate between a wolf and a coyote.

Accommodation: Process of adjusting a scheme and modify it.

Sensorimotor: stage babies take in the world (around 2 years of age) through looking, hearing, touching, mouthing and grasping.

Object Permanence:
The awareness that objects continue to exist when not perceived.
