Emerson elaborates on the emotional appeal by saying you are who you are, you can't change it so you are to accept it and you can get as much glory out of it as work you put in.


Ethos: "Trust thy-self: every heart vibrates to that iron string." 
This quote by Emerson morally  connects to a person because it conveys that everything you do will effect you alone. Every attribute of your being will tie into who you are.


Logos: In his statement "In the attempt his genius deserts him; no muse befriends; no invention, no hope."
