We use interactive notebooks for various concepts in math but I never thought to make them digital. This will be great for getting my students to use higher thinking and to help them learn to organize their notes.

We incorporated graphic organizers and collaborative learning due to their significant effect size on student learning and achievement. Student-led digital learning is also an effective teaching strategy.

This is the first way I have used Google Drawings in a way that I actually found useful in the classroom and not more time consuming by using technology. I think giving them the word bank and making them work in groups to organize their thoughts together, as well as making them create a problem to fit each branch of the organizer, really accesses their higher order thinking skills and makes some great connections between the material in their minds. This would be GREAT for a review day before testing them on the subject.

My students love any means of digital learning and we already use a ton of graphic organizers on paper. I think it will be easy to shift to digital graphic organizers. The graphic organizers really help my EC students with thought organization and higher order thinking.

My students have become acquainted with anchor charts in the past, but doing so in a digital format will curb any fears they may have of their handwriting or artwork. It will also save poster paper, which is always a plus. I will be using Google Drawings in the near future.

I am looking forward to using these tools in order to develop higher level thinking skills in my students. As they become more comfortable with making connections, they will be able to use their creativity to organize their own organizers.

I love using graphic organizers in my classroom. I think students are going to really enjoy making digital graphic organizers. As I become more familiar with the tools available I hope to help my students create their own graphic organizers using digital tools.

I have never thought or used about Google Drawings before I did this module. I am excited to use this resources and to continue using it. Students will be able to create their own graphic organizer to show their creativity. This is a great resource!

I believe the best way to use graphic organizers in the classroom consistently without hindering students' creativity is to expose them to a variety of graphic organizers and then allow them to use and create formats that work for them.

I have used graphic organizers before with pencil and paper, but I enjoyed learning how to make them digitally using Google Drawings. I think this program will can help students organize information in a way that is unique and personal to them because of the ability to import pictures, texts, and colors.

With the number of digital graphic organizers available, it would be fairly easy to share several on Google Classroom that are appropriate for the current skill or strategy and allow students to choose the one they would like to use.

Using many different graphic organizers in the classroom will help student with their creativity in an authentic way as they make them their own by using technology-created organizers. Being able to insert their own ideas will facilitate their creativity as well.

I do not feel graphic organizers will steal creativity as they are a tool to organize learning. I feel allowing students to create graphic organizers in the classroom will allow students to organize information in a more meaningful way for them to learn new material.

Let students create their own using tools such as Go Conqr or Popplet so they can use their own creativity to design a graphic organizer that works best for them for the information given.

I think digital graphic organizers enable the students to be creative in a way they can retain the information. I am so glad you included the 4 stages of implementation. I can't wait to try them all.

Great presentation! I will use a digital Venn Diagram to do a compare and contrast lesson. Using a digital graphic organizer that students can manipulate, share, and collaborate is just such a great tool.

Gives students a visual ways to comprehend the information. I think every student can benefit from using them. Google Classroom makes it very easy to share them all with the group. Over time students should be able to pick out the organizers that are most beneficial to them.

My students are visual learners are able to see the differences and similarities better with the use of the Venn diagram. They can categorize information easily.

I use graphic organizers with my students a lot. This was very helpful because I was not aware of all the options available for free online. Once modeled appropriately with students, it should become simple for them to choose and use graphic organizers for use that are most helpful to them.

Single-parent households amongst instability living situation

We were located in Marshall County Kentucky, which is known for its reputation of drugs and police involvement where we grew up. The run-down trailer consisted of a 3 bedroom, 2 bath trailer with 5 siblings and 2 adults if not more. Space was tight, but we were very close because of that. we moved around a lot, but the house was about the same if not smaller.

Foster care

We got put into foster care twice and the second time we got into the adoption status and were in private adoptions from each other, and I lost contact with my entire family, which led me to a lot of self-doubt and abandonment feelings.

We grew up in a small town

Neglect and abuse when our mom was not around led to many mixed feelings and the unknowing due to age and time confusion. Angry at my mom for not knowing or doing anything about it. I lost who I was, am, and was born into within seconds. I also learned about hardships within the state and how foster care agencies can be improved due to my own experiences with our unique case.
