Lizzy McAlpine was who got me into singing, through her alternative indie folk music blended by jazz, pop, and R&B. She creates simple songs with an acoustic guitar or a piano to accompany the singing. What mainly influenced me about her is that she spoke about love and heart break that she expresses in her songs.

She too a lot of heavy rock from Deftones, according to Alternative press in their latest album This is why, there song ‘Thick Scull’ “pulled from their past for closer” (2023, June 7). Bloc party was Paramore’s number one influencer for their latest album ‘This Is Why’ according to Hayley Williams on her podcast ‘Everything Is Emo’ (2022, Oct 24). They are a fast beat dance punk early 2000s band, which shows in their latest album with more of a dance rhythm to their songs rather than just punk rock using a guitar, drums, a Tamborine, synths and bass.

On a Ryan Seacrest podcast, Lizzy McAlphie mentioned that she listened to Adele (2023, 5 Apr), and she was one of the many artists that had an influence on her song writing. Lizzy takes after Adele in the ways of lyrics, as they both write songs about love and heart break.

On The same X Response post Lizzy mentions that Dodie was a big influence vocally (2022, 6 Mar). Comparing songs such as She by Dodie (2019, 18 Jan) and Doomsday by Lizzy McAlpine (2022, 8 Apr), vocally there are very similar in the way the project their voice. There are both very soft singers.
