As someone who grew up in Cagayan, I know how important this range is to us! It protected us from a lot of calamities, but due to deforestation, it reduced its capacity to do so :((

Due to the rising index in the Philippines, deforestation will only contribute more to the heat. As someone who always grew up playing sa trees and is very fond of them, it saddens me that trees in the Philippines, especially since our country is rich in biodiversity.

Reading this surprised me as I didnt know that there was that much only at this area. I think it goes to show how important it is to conserve Sierra Madre.
