Phil and Nick married as soon as it was made legal in Scotland, however they still felt a lack of respect and acceptance towards their relationship. One of the men claimed that although it was now legal, he felt traumatised by his experience and felt he was still branded ‘wrong’ and ‘diseased’. He also claimed that just because it was now legal, it still doesn’t change people’s attitudes towards homosexuality.

The news story covers how gay couples are treated unfairly, because they are in a same sex relationship. A gay couple were turned away from a guesthouse because the Christian owner did not want them sleeping together. Michael Black and John Morgan are in later adulthood and were faced with discrimination at a B&B because of their sexuality. Mr Black said the couple were ''very angry''. The couple decided to drive the 80 miles back to their home with their ''adrenalin pumping''. After a judge found they had suffered unlawful discrimination.

Charlotte Mclinden
The man, who wants to remain anonymous, had been offered a place on an airline's training programme. But the Civil Aviation Authority refused him the medical certificate needed to gain a commercial licence. The CAA said European regulations prevented it granting the certificate to someone who was HIV positive. The European Aviation Safety said it was considering a rule change. Anthony (not his real name) said it was "utterly devastating" to discover that he could not take up the position on the EasyJet pilot training scheme. He described the policy as "outdated" and "inherently discriminatory”. HIV Scotland has called for a change in the rules. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-42325414
