         <description><![CDATA[<div>Four class groups have attempted the balloon couch challenge and most have successfully sat on their final couch without popping it. The task had varying degrees of success in terms of teamwork, with some students contributing very little to the team,  but it did show  their students' resilience and communication skills. It's definitely an activity that I would like to try at the start of the academic year rather than midway through. </div>]]></description>

These include the front of the College, study centres, Westside, areas for private study (individual &amp; small group) and classrooms. <br>Technology is another area of interest, as is the timetable.<br>One proposal we may be making is around how to join up the excellent Elevate lectures on study skills from the beginning of the first year, with flipped learning and other types of individual study, so that students feel themselves part of a "community" of learners, with a requirement to use their time in a focussed way.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Time is now precious in order to prepare students for their final exams, so we are going to concentrate on planning for the next academic year. We are aiming to:<br>1. Arrange a team building day at Wrest Park for the GCSE teaching team in July (thanks NAK!), with a view to run the activity with the new cohort of students in September. <br>2. Create a collection of team building activities and resources. Ask for ideas at the next team meeting. <br>3. Plan an activity each half term into the SoW. These will not be compulsory.</div>]]></description>
