To Lead: To take ownership in carrying out and coordinating initiatives and plans in SV2024.

To Learn: To expand my global outlook, experience and learn from other cultures, and learn from other systems of education.

lead - i hope to be able to step out of my comfort zone and take up roles to hone my leadership skills

learn - i hope to learn more about 1) the vietnamese culture and 2) how to teaching in an engaging yet effective manner with students.

Serving is about giving back to the community and helping those around us. On this trip, to serve means contributing to and helping the students in Vietnam.

Leading is about bring together a group of people and working towards a common goal. For SALT, to lead means taking charge of a certain aspect of this trip so that the students in Vietnam will benefit and for us to have a fun and meaningful trip.

To Learn:

Learning is about trying new things. On this trip, to learn means going out of my comfort zone to learn from the experiences we will have along the way.

To Lead: To be a role model and to guide fellow SALT members in any capacity I can value add in

To Learn: To learn more about the Vietnamese Culture and continually hone my teaching skills in the classroom (in an unfamiliar / new context)

I hope to be able to serve a new community that I would not previously have had the opportunity for, and give back to the international community.

TO LEAD

I hope to grow as a leader through honing my skills and putting myself in new experiences and situations.

TO LEARN

I hope to learn not only leadership skills but overall skills that would not be easly learnt from other experiences. I hope to learn more about Vietnamese culture as well as the applicability of our teaching education there.

To learn: to gather as much experiences as i can from this trip and make sense of it in reflections, translating it to useful knowledge to apply in the future

To lead: learn how to be versatile and quick to changes as I experience how to teach children

To learn: to be able to experience and immerse myself in the Vietnamese culture
