On June 25, 1950, a massive artillery barrage from North Korea signals the beginning of the Korean war.

On December 6, 1950, the US marines begin their attack in a different direction. China drives the US marines out of North Korea but pays a huge toll with the US killing 80000 Chinese troops leaving the north.

On July 10, 1951, the UN talks to the communists not ending the war but starting to get to them. War continues for 2  more years.

On July 27, 1953, they agree to an armistice ending the hostilities. South Korean leader accepts the armistice and the war is finally over.
