To be a global citizen means that you are one for all. You respect every person as they come and you accept their differences no matter what. You acknowledge the fact that people are different and you treat them the same way that you would want to be treated. To further my answer, being a global citizens means understanding all views points that are coming around the world and attempting to understand what may or may not be going on in some countries. Being informed and finding credible information can be a great key to success when wanting to be a ‘’global citizen’’.

Schools today try to outsource all around the world in order to find the most recent and relevant information to teach. Biology is a subject that is in constant evolution because we are continuously finding new information about many areas of studies such as (animal diversity, human physiology, genetics, microbiology, etc). A great example can be the comradery between all of the countries in the world in order to find a solution to the Covid 19 pandemic. We explore many different subject areas in the field of biology and having resources coming from different countries allow our students to understand different ways of researching or different ways of learning one same topic. To add, the expansion of technology in the classroom allow students to visualise and understand how other countries may learn and it allows students to grow into well rounded individuals who respect others cultures and customs.

This is very important to me because I value respect very highly. In my classroom, every person no matter their race, their culture or their beliefs deserve the utmost respect. Involving my students in research or projects that allow them to explore other viewpoints and cultures, allow my students to gain more understanding and knowledge about the great big world we live in. I believe, if you lead by example, your students will strive to become better learners and will develop a better sense of acceptance for people around the world.
