Patriarchy has been seen as a form that controls females from not having rights, being submissive, and being weak.  Even though we have seen that the world has evolved, we still see many folks taking part in the patriarchy and not allowing their wives to be their own people. Imagine living in a world where all women could be free and be who they want to be and not have anyone tell them what they can do. This video gave me a better perspective on patriarchy and showed me that this is still going on in many families, including mine. The women in these households are to stay back and allow the man to make all decisions in the household and have the women just be a housewife and not have a voice.

Throughout your upbringing, you will begin to see the inequality that many women face in their day-to-day lives, such as not having equal pay like men, the government making decisions on your body, and often not being taken seriously by men in positions in power. Still, even if the man and the women have the same qualifications, we have seen that they often choose the man still because of the hierarchy that has been placed in our society. Some of these reasons are that women are too vulnerable and cannot take on certain positions. Another reason is that they fear that the woman will become pregnant one day and won't give as much time to her work. This is why women have to work ten times harder in order to be seen the same as men. After researching this topic more, I have seen the injustices that women have to face every day.
