<title>Work History: I worked for the State of Missouri for 15 years, then returned to college and graduated from Lincoln University in 2001 when I was 40. Teaching was a dream I pursued after having a family. I currently teach a 4th and 5th grade combined classroom in the small, rural community of Clarksburg. I teach all core subjects and want to continue to try to expand all subject areas to allow more individualized learning, expose students to the world versus the box, and become the facilitator to assist and guide their learning experience.</title>

<title>Interesting Fact: Last week my husband and I traveled to the Dominican Republic to attend our son&#39;s wedding on the beach. It was beautiful! We didn&#39;t want to travel outside the country, but were urged to for this special event. Sometimes we just have to be forced to try new things to realize how much we are missing! In teaching for those who are apprehensive to change, the world of technology is completely different than what we grew up with or how we were trained as teachers, but it is critical to the success of our students to be the example and embrace 21st century learning.</title>

<title>Expectations: Our school uses Google Chromebooks and each student has one. I don&#39;t think we&#39;re using them to even half of the potential. I want to gather as many resources and as much personal training as possible to enhance their learning experience to create a technology/ discovery driven classroom. I love the idea of them interacting in a &quot;Padlet&quot; format to interact on Science labs, reading discussions, and a wagon train activity we do in Social Studies!</title>

<title>Technology/Personal I use technology personally with my summer job of quilting for other people and to stay in touch with our large family. Technology/Professionally This is the first on-line class I&#39;ve taken towards earning my Master&#39;s Degree at WWU and am learning to navigate through the Owl Net system as I go. It&#39;s hard to be the student but gives me a good perspective from the other side of using technology with the students in my classroom.</title>

<title>FAST FACT: When I was born, John F. Kennedy was President! We used paper, pencil, and a book only. Student creativity was strictly forbidden! Things have really changed!</title>
