I think having this resource will help them plan their targeted small group and which whole group lessons they want to make sure they hit before the end of the year.

I will use this information as a follow up to our quadrant work. Once we identify overarching trends and identify the domain that each grade level needs to focus on for T3, we can dig deeper into the standards by using the CCSS performance and the grade level scaffolding material. I will focus on allowing the conversations to be teacher led and then providing the information as possible resources they can access.

In my PLC, I'd love to have this begin from a grade level determining a focus domain and grade level commitments based on area of need driven by data. I think helping teachers to see the connection to standards (progression of skills and CCSS report) is an imperative piece of intentionally planning instruction. I would also like to help teacher see the connection to Benchmark and how these resources can be a support for tier 1 instruction.

I think it will be important to share with 3-6 at PLC because we quadranted based on Comprehension and they are asking about next steps. It is a great lead in to share resources and then give them time to dive in and plan using the scaffolding resources. This way it is not something new, it is layered for support

I can offer to demo small group instruction using the TSC's in classrooms.

A teacher already asked about the i-Ready comprehension resources, and I was able to walk her through this process already. They are very familiar with the Tools for Instruction for small groups and I think additional comprehension tools would be well received.
I'd also connect it to our progression into comprehension for SVReads

Making sure that there is enough time in PLC to explore the tools and to make connections to tier 1 instruction. Certain grade levels like to try things out together, I am thinking that these grade levels will choose a specific tool, connect it to BA then all teach it then bring it back to PLC.

I would use it to make the connection from data- standard-skill. I really feel that teachers will like the grouping tool once they learn that they can add in lexiles for a particular text.

We have used the Standards Mastery tests in the past, but I think we need a reminder that they exist. They might be more useful now that I know how to connect them directly to our data.

We have looked at the tools for scaffolding comprehension by going through assess and teach previously. It was very helpful. Going through reports to look at grade level scaffolding so teachers can see the small groups already created based on the standard needing more instruction will be much more helpful. I am excited to show them a different way to see additional supports for their students as we look at our new data from this diagnostic.
