The renaissance impacted our world because it started new techniques for creating paintings , art was becoming popular . The origins of Renaissance art can be traced to Italy in the late 13th and early 14th centuries. During this so-called “proto-Renaissance” period (1280-1400), Italian scholars and artists saw themselves as reawakening to the ideals and achievements of classical Roman culture. For example , Leonardo da Vinci, Petrarch (1304-1374) and Giovanni Boccaccio (1313-1375).
Torria Mitchell

With the Industrial Era many social changes happened during this period. First, there was a increase in population and urbanization in many cities . People were now able to track living conditions and determined what was considered bad living conditions. Next the industrial era created a need for a large workforce that included: men, women, and children in factories , mines, and pottery work. The middle class became divided into the upper middle class and lower middle class.
-People who were disabled: People that were disabled were playing and equaling big role while working in the mines.

In the beginning it was difficult for people with disabilities because they were considered useless. While religion remained a powerful influence, people became less consumed with spiritual matters and more interested in the arts and science, leading in health and to a better understanding of disability. Renaissance, they created the "charity model" and "medical model" which determine the attitudes towards disability. The charity model and medical model was based on society providing services and what was best for those with disabilities. From Renaissance through World War II, society believed that people with disabilities might be educated, but in special segregated programs or schools often far from populated areas.
-Daneesha Carter
