This week in honors algebra I learned that there are five different types of rates, linear proportional, linear, inverse variation, exponential, and quadratic. All of these have different types of rules and a couple of them have similarities. For example, inverse variation, exponential, and quadratic rates, all have curved lines. Linear proportional and linear rates both have straight lines. All of these are rates but every single one is different. I didn't know about the different types of rates, and was surprised in seeing how each of them worked.

This week in ELA we completed another packet of greek roots. This week the greek roots were hetereo, nom nem, phan, phen, fan, poly, prot, and proto. We learned/ went over demonstrative pronouns. A demonstrative pronoun is used to point out a specific person, place, thing or idea. We also went over interrogative pronouns. An interrogative pronoun introduces a question. We are going to write an autobiographical narrative about a meaningful experience in our life. I'm excited to show my writing skills in this narrative.

This week in biology I learned about different communities and biomes. We worked on a packet this week about these topics. One of the things that I learned was that there are ten major biomes. I also learned about the steps of succession. We also learned about other details that help us understand the broader topics. The teacher also went over all these details and the major points to help prepare us for our test. I'm nervous for the test but have been paying attention and studying. I hope I do a good job on it.
