Secondly, a way I have improved as a photographer/creatively is I used to kind of rush through photos at first for the grade or take longer to find things to take pictures of. Still, now I have realized I like taking photos and now I take a comfortable amount of time to take pictures and look onto a deeper level of finding things to photograph. And some of the challenges I have overcome is re-learning how to use Photoshop, I had forgotten how to use the tools since it had been so long but since taking photography I remembered more and learned even more tools and tricks than before. On top of that another challenge I have overcome is learning camera settings, of course I don't know them all yet but I have learned certain functions like shutter speed which is super helpful if you like taking frozen-in-time pictures. My personal favorite part of taking this photography class is getting to use the camera and working in photoshop and lightroom, I like using the camera because I feel like learning how the things work and the correct way to use it is important if you want to be a photographer as a side hustle or even as a job in general, the editing on photoshop is fun while the editing in lightroom can make a big difference just from changing lighting and smoothing. My favorite project in this class as of the first semester is the monochromatic photo color grid. This project was my favorite because I have always liked photos where they have matching colors because it looks cool looking at the different shades of colors in picture form and it is aesthetic. When the year is over the way I might put these skills to use by using photography as a way of income by taking portraits possibly, another way I might use these skills is if someone has a professional camera I can easily take their picture for them without cost if they are family or friends. Lastly, some advice I would give to someone first starting photography is to pay attention from the very beginning to end and to not skip this class because if you miss something it affects the whole semester because all the small things add up to knowing the bigger things.
