While some educators fear that restructuring the Eurocentric curriculum will be harmful to US culture, advocates of multicultural education recognize that the curriculum should reflect the global population that now resides in our country. Practicing multicultural education will highlight the bias that currently resides in the curriculum and in schools across the board, incorporate the various cultural experiences of the students, and aid them in interacting and communicating with people from diverse groups. It will also boost minority academic success due to inclusion in class discussions. By doing so, more minorities will attend college. Teaching students about the social, political, economic, and cultural issues that surround our country will prepare them for living in an increasingly globalized world.

Producing an effective and productive education curriculum/system requires proper funding through the local, state, and federal public funds. It also requires the hiring of qualified individuals such as teachers, administrators and board members. Another important aspect to creating a multi-ethnic education system is integration of various concepts and teaching that incorporates the histories, texts, values, beliefs, and perspectives of people from different cultural backgrounds.
