My big Idea for the Big Idea project is to make a evolution of play for me. I will make a small basketball and soccer ball, a bigger game controller, and a giant tennis racket. It will represent what play really is to me. I will use clay to sculpt.

My Updated big Idea is to have a Clay Trophy sculpture with stuff painted on the sides. For example, I would have a Basketball, Gaming Controller, Soccer Ball, and Tennis Racket painted in the different sides of the trophy.

This is my artist connection. She connects with me because she sculpts clay like I am going to do. She also somewhat incorporates things into the sculpture, which is what I am planning to do with my trophy.

Today I finally narrowed down exactly what I am going to do for my project. I also found my artist connection, created a materials list, and started to look at how to videos.

This is my Prototype drawing on my clay trophy. The base was not strong enough to support the top, so I will have to look for a different solution.

Today I learned that I was going to have to rethink my visual. I rethought it into this picture. I also started to look at videos for making clay trophies online.

This is the first video I watched on how to make a clay trophy. It was good, except for the fact that A: She didn't tell us all the required supplies and B: The trophy she made in 1/3 the size of a book.

Today I continued to score and slip my coils onto the trophy, but I ran out of coils! I have to start making more next Studio Work day.

I hit 3 of my 4 goals and I'm starting to paint my mini-figures today. I think I will finish the project today or next class. I am time managing well and I think that I will soon be ready for gallery night. Also Watching Paint Dry
