1. Rosa Parks was a hard-headed, activist, who stood for what she believed in was right.
2. Rosa Parks took a stand for her beliefs and sat in the front of the bus at a time when buses were segregated. She was later arrested for her silent yet powerful stance as an African American woman. Rosa Parks was arrested and let off on bail.
3. The African American community came together and planned to boycott the public bus system called the Montgomery Bus Boycott for 381days. It was successful. The idea of separate but equal is now voided and buses were desegregated after legal action was taken.
4. It is important to recognize Women's History month because of the impact women had in the past and helps us learn who we are and who we will become for the future.
