5. What is something that i liked, Can i use this in life or future?
: I attended to two sessions which is about hate speech and human rights
of children. I did not intend it but all I attended were related to Japan. So I could learn many things about Japan.
One thing I liked the most was about learning a new concept. I did not know about Hate speech and I did not even care much about it. However, after the lecture I thought It was good to listen to the session, but the Japanese people came and talked, so I did not understand it well even if I used the translator, but I was able to get more information by organizing the notes after the session.

This topic was very interesting to me, so I selected the theme of the hate speech in our presentation too. Why I liked this is because it was amazing to see Koreans and Japan, which are in hostile relations helping each other. Due to hate demo many Koreans sustained great damage, and Japanese help them to build laws about it and work hard to build network system. There were many Japanese who criticized Koreans for their hate demo, but many tried to actively help them. That is why I felt interesting to it.
I think this will affect in my future because I was interested in the national situation a little, so I would continue to be interested in the future. And after I listened to this forum and met people from various countries and listened to lectures in other languages. I thought I would like to learn other languages in addition to English to listen them flexibly.

Since there is not much opportunity for people from various races to gather and discuss such international issues it was a very good time for me.

One thing I regretted was that I didn’t attend a lecture with English on the day I went, and when I chose the subject, I found that the lectures were conducted by Koreans and Japanese only. The next time I have the chance to attend, I would like to hear more people from different races.

1. One activity that i liked
One activity that I liked the most was writing a paragraph in week3 and week9. In week 3 we wrote a short paragraph and week 9 we developed it with more supports and examples. I chose abandoned death for elderly for my topic.

One reason why I liked this activity was because I could write a paragraph about what I experienced. I listed problems that can caused by certain types of families. And one of the problems was about elderly who are exposed to abandoned death.

This March I had a volunteer work related to my topic. I visited the elderly people who lived alone and conducted a survey and volunteered to check whether they were doing well. The purpose of this service was to prevent the risk of abandoned death and to listen to the opinions of the welfare for the elderly. In the administrative welfare center before we do the service we listened about ratio of elderly abandoned death and stories. I was not interested in this issue, but I realized that it was a serious problem. That is why it was good to be able to write about topic that I felt something.

Another reason is it was good to specify problems about certain types of families. Usually we don't get a chance to think deeply about what others are facing for their problem.

I can use this experience in future when I need to structure my thoughts later. This will help me to organize my thoughts well and I can use them with appropriate examples and supplementary explanations when I write sentences that persuade others. This activity was really good for me.

2. One activity that i did not like
A activity that I liked the least was connecting topic sentences to paragraphs. In week 6 we connected an article that are separated as a group.

A reason why I liked the least is because it was a group work. While taking this class, it was getting easier to work with people who do not know, but it is still more uncomfortable than personal activities.

For example, while connecting paragraphs, I did not know how to cope with when I have different ideas or solutions. I do not know exactly how to appeal my opinion and respect the other person’s opinion.

Another reason is the activity was difficult. It was hard to catch a main sentence in a paragraph and find connected idea. Every sentences seemed to fit well in everywhere so it was difficult to combine and make a complete article.

I think this will help me to comprehend articles in the future, but it seems to be a little less useful than other activities and not much to be used in the future.

3. One activity that i did the best
One activity that I did my best is presentation I think. In this activity I chose a topic that is related to our class and shared about it in front of people.

I chose the hate speech as my topic of the presentation. A reason why I chose this was because I thought I could work harder as much as I was more interested in this topic then others and I thought I could explain it well.

In this semester the presentation was an activity that I did the best. I tried hard to improve compare to last semester. Laster semester’s presentation, I did my best, but I tried harder to show that I improved. I wanted to prepare a presentation that I could satisfy myself and worked hard.

Also, I can say it was my best work since I tried to look for reliable informations and sources to deliver exact information. And I worked hard to memorize the script to have many eye-contacts with listeners also practiced speaking for many hours to convey exactly what I prepared.

Speaking in front of many people is very awkward and difficult. By this chance I could have boldness to overcome such awkwardness. Not only this activity but everything I did in class helped me to overcome such difficulties. In the future with these bold skills i learned in class, I can challenge in any situation calmly.

I liked that it was fresh on the subject of the first contact and it was good because it seemed to know a lot of information. But it was a little too fast to understand because I was nervous, and I thought I would have slowed down a little more. And I really liked it easy to understand the presentation by using the appropriate statistical image in the presentation ppt and to listen to the presentation.

It was good to try to get a lot of eye contact during the presentation. And data utilization and the composition of the presentation was good. But there are some things that were hard to understand because your speaking speed is little fast. It would be a perfect presentation if you adjust it. I really liked that you were confident in your presentation.
