They both indicate that in times when others provoke you to argue or even fight, you shouldn't let them get to you; you are better than that. 

1. This quote relates to civility because civilized people know their worth and are very respectful. Since this quote means not to stoop down to someones level its showing respect and peace. 

2. This quote relates to "the Most Dangerous Game" because Rainsford fell into Zaroff's horrific trap. Zaroff gets Rainsford to join in the game. Rainsford does not physically  fight with Zaroff, instead he forcefully agrees. Rainsford eventually wins the game. Fighting was not going to prevent Zaroff from hunting Rainsford, Rainsford's cooperation and determination led to his victory. He did not let Zaroff's vile words and atrocities get to him. 

3. This quote relates to the real world because many people will try to pick on you and try to pick fights with you. This quote is saying is don't let them get to you and don't listen to what they're saying to you or about you. If you battle with bad people you risk becoming a bad person yourself due to the actions you commit. Also, if you associate yourself with the wrong things those things can rub back off on you.

1. This quote relates to civility because depending on the actions you make determines what kind of person society looks at you as. Good actions will increase your reputation while bad actions will do the opposite. 

2. This quote compares to "The Most Dangerous Game" because while Rainsford was playing Zaroff's game he had to commit some horrible actions. Moments, like killing one of Zaroff's dogs and killing his assistant Ivan were some of the dark actions he had tot take. To be able to battle Zaroff, Rainsford had to resort to some actions that were wrong and uncivil,  which in forced him to be a monster.

3. This quote relates to the real world because if someone is starting a problem with you, the right thing to do is to avoid them. If you don't get yourself involved in that problem you won't be looked at as a "monster". Also it means if you get wrapped up in bad things sure enough they're going to be reflected off of you as well.

1. This quote relates to civility due to the fact that it shows that you have to be careful with the choices you make because all your actions reflect the way society sees you as a person whether it makes you seem civilized or not.

2. It compares to "The Most Dangerous Game" because while Zaroff was being a toxic person and trying to suggest things like unjust murder to Rainsford, Rainsford didn't allow the idea to seep into his mind long enough so he could make the mistake of killing for no reason and being uncivilized.

3. This quotes relates to real life because there are actual people willing to do anything to cause a fight but this quote shows it's better to just leave it be and not care whether that person is " important " or not.
