         <description><![CDATA[<div>The next level is adaptation. This is where the teacher involves technology tool(s) as a bigger part of their lesson. Even though on this level the teacher makes many of the decisions about the use of technology, the teacher is more of a guide with the students in the independent use of technology. At this stage, students should be able to work without direct procedural instruction and being exploring the technology tool.<br><br></div><div>This is what I would consider a free range stage. For example, think of a preschool classroom. Students have access to different toys and explore news toys in their own way, but if they needed help, they have a teacher to explain what the toy does.&nbsp;<br><br></div>]]></description>

         <title>Level 4- Infusion</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>At the Infusion level, a range of different technology tools are integrated flexibly and seamlessly into teaching and learning FCIT, 2020). Technology tools are available to meet the requirements of all students with all different needs. Students are able to make informed decisions about when and how to use different tools. The instructional focus is on student learning and not on the technology tools themselves (Rodney &amp; Lizier, 2021). For this reason, Infusion level work typically occurs after teachers and students have experience with a type of technological tool. The teacher guides students to make decisions about when and how to use technological tools.<br><br></div><div>An example of this would be having a lesson on a website (like Canvas, blackboard, or google classroom) and have students be given an assignment and having them utilize their resources they learned about. Once they complete the assignment, they can submit it on the website.<br><br></div><div>&nbsp;<br><br></div>]]></description>

By this level, students should understand the tools with their prior knowledge from their previous experiences. Teachers would encourage to use technology tools in different ways and are self-led in combining different tools. At this point, the teacher is more of a guide for the students and technology.<br><br>An example of this is what I would consider was writing my thesis. I had my teachers to guide me in the correct direction, but had full control of the technology I used because of using it in the pass.<br><br></div>]]></description>

         <title>The Outlook on Model</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>I believe levels 1 (entry), 3 (adaption) and 5 ,(transformation) in the model work well and are the most helpful to students. The factors that would work well is the environment which this model takes place in.<br><br></div><div>The factors that is ineffective or needs update would be level 2 (adoption) and 4 (infusion) due to students wanting more control and being eager to use the technology.<br><br></div><div>The professional setting this would work well in is in a classroom, and even for a person in training who uses technology often.<br><br></div><div>From my experience, level 2 (adoption) is the most ineffective because the students want full control of what they are doing. I learned you give them an inch of rope; they want 6 inches. Meaning, you give them a little freedom, they would like more.<br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Hello, and thank you for viewing my Padlet. My name is Courtney Dowling and I attend the Chicago School of Professional Psychology. Right now the Padlet you're looking at is from unit 4 activity. The topic is technology integration matrix. Before I jump into what that is, I would like to give you a brief overview of what this padlet is going to cover. So the first thing we're going to talk about is what is technology integration matrix. Once I explain what that is, I'm going to tell you about all the different levels and break each level down for you. And then at the end, I will give you an overview of the model. And the levels. For example, like in my experience, what I believe works, what doesn't work, what's ineffective, and what might need some more up doing. So let's begin. What is technology integration matrix, also known as Tim T im technology integration matrix gives an outline for explaining the use of technology to increase learning in different learning environments. There are different levels of technology integration matrix, the first level is entry. The second level is adoption. Third is adaption. Fourth is infusion. And the fifth level is transformation. So, the first level is entry, teachers use technology to show the content they will be utilizing to the students kind of like a show and tell situation. An example of this is watching or hearing content through a form of technology, such as utilizing a smartboard, a PowerPoint presentation, or pre made video, or even a game. But it's important to note that students will most likely not have hands on access to the technology being used. So it will be predominantly controlled by the teacher. Level two, and option. This level is where technology tools are used different differently and in different ways by teachers. The teacher is to make the decision about the technology tool or tools being used. And when it is going to be utilized, students may have limited access to the technology being used. A perfect example that was brought to the attention by Iranian lizard in 2021 will be a website called Kahoot. And it's an option where students are personally involved and have limited accents. But the teacher has the most control while utilizing the website. From my personal experience using Kahoot. Each student gets a little monster figure and every time they get a question, right? You add a point to them, and it counts as points or you could do it as extra credit. I personally did as extra credit. And many students liked this idea because they were involved in the situation. Level three is adaption. And this is where the teacher involves technology tools as a bigger part of their lesson. On this level, the teacher makes many of the decisions about the use of the technology, the teacher is more of a guide to a student in the independent use of technology. Students should be able to work without direct procedural instructions. And being exploring the technology tool. I will consider this like the free range stage. For example, where we put this as as big of a preschool classroom, students have access to the different toys to explore, and then in their own new way. But if they do need help, the teacher is there to explain what the toy does and how they could interact with that specific toy. Level for infusion. At the infusion level, a range of different technology tools are integrated flexibly and seamlessly into the teaching and learning. As set by FCI T in 2020. technology tools are available to meet the requirements of all students of all different needs. To put this in a better wording. I would say that it's accessible for everyone with needs such as an audio department department for people who are blind or visual for people who are deaf, or just a slow pace for any disability. Basically, the instructional focus is on the student's learning and not on the technology tools themselves. Infusion level works typically occurs at the teachers and students have experience with the type of technology tool. For example, if a teacher introduces PowerPoint, the students would have more of a range of using PowerPoint. But there must be options that would be available for people with disabilities. In the final level transformation, and students have more access to the technology tools to reach different learning goals. By this level students should be understand the tools and with their prior knowledge from their previous experience, teachers would encourage them to use technology tools in different ways in our self blood. At this point, the teacher is more of a guide for the student. Where if the student has a question that comes with the teacher, and they answer it, an example of this I would consider was writing my thesis. So when I was in my master's program, I had to write a thesis. And I have my teachers to guide me in the correct direction, but I have full control the technology I use. For example, I was able to use Adler's University's library, and I could use my undergraduate library, the College of Staten Island, I had access to different types of technology tools. Now, we're going to look at the overview. I personally believe levels one, three and five in the model work well, and are the most helpful to the student. Just as a reminder, levels one, three and five are entry, adaption, and transformation. The factors that were ineffective and needs to be updated would be level two and four. And for those who don't remember, level two is adoption. And number four is infusion. I feel like this could need update due to students wanting more control and being eager to use the technology. The professional setting this will work well in his classroom. And even for a person in training who uses technology often. For example, let's say your teacher joining a new school. This type of training in this model would be best in that professional setting. From my personal experience, level two is the most ineffective because students want full control of what they're doing. In other words, I kind of learned the hard way you give them an inch of the rope, they want six inches, basically meaning you give them a little freedom, they want more they want total control.
