This time they had planes and submarines, so they were able to catch the other countries off guard. Japan had flew over the USS Arizona and had dropped bombs over it. Less than 5 months after Japan bombed Pearl Harbor, the US bombed the Japanese and Tokyo using B-25 bombers. The battle was started by English speaking Germans who would wear American uniforms and spread false information to the Allies. The Germans learned how to speak English from the American prisoners held in the German camps. Germany was able to successfully launch a surprise attack on the Allied Forces. Three days later on August 9th, a second B-29 bomber was dropped on Nagasaki, this time killing around 40,000 people. Both cities suffered from acute exposure due to the blasts and experienced long-term side effects from the radiation. The atomic bombs that were used by the US brought WWII to a sudden end.
