They are different types of snowflakes, some hollow, some star and many other types. Snowflakes start in the the clouds then break off and fall down to Earth.

I learned about snow when a snow crystal comes out of a cloud it grows when it touches the ground it melts. If you use cardboard you can catch the snow crystal. Then you can look in a magnafi glass and you can see it. It has to be 15 degrees or lower. snow crystals are different snowflakes together.

Snow is formed in a 15 degree or lower cloud. A speck, such as ash, salt, and pollen, start the process. Water droplets land on the speck, and it freezes into a tiny ice ball. Water droplets keep freezing onto the until it is a hexagon sort of shape. This forms a snow crystal. Snow crystals come together to make snowflakes. Star snowflakes have six arms. That is what I learned.

I learned that it takes many snow flakes to create one,. if one rain drop hits one of the sides, it can be so much diffrent than all the other sides. Theres so many kinds of snowflakes. A snow flake creates while its in the clouds , it stops growing when its gotten through all the clouds and when it gets to land it starts to round up. Snow crystles make the arms of a snow flake.
