         <description><![CDATA[<div>The school makes it part of their mission and vision to promote multilingualism.<br>Language policies, Assessment policies, Admission policies and other documents reflect inclusion of students who do not speak the language of instruction at the school.<br>Home Language is valued and integrated in the learning programs. </div><div><br></div><div>On arrival the language experiences of students are recorded and used to inform learning. </div><div>Student buddies are set up and languages of the teachers as well are kept as a bank to be used as a support when new students come in. </div><div><br></div><div>Professional Development and induction processes include equipping teachers for the multilingual setting and practice. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Resources like reading books and reference books are available in different languages.<br>During celebrations like Book Week, students read books written in the mother tongue and it is a celebration of multilingualism in literature. <br><br>Other resources including songs, music, poetry, rhymes, dual language books. videos, technology commonly used to support, translation tools, multilingual alphabet and number charts, money in different currencies for play are helpful in promoting an inclusive setting. </div><div><br><br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>- Students are not restricted in the language they use. They can choose to interact with others in home languages. </div><div>- Students are encouraged to use translanguaging strategies. </div><div>- Differentiation even in the language students can respond while doing different tasks and even assessments is taken into account. If need be a translator is used in the class if a students cannot communicate in the language of instruction and is not penalised for this. Assessment and feedback take into account the language abilities and needs of students and families. </div><div>- Homework is seen as an opportunity for multilingual development. Students are able to respond in their preferred language. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Inclusive schools aim to have;<br><br>- Displays around the school reflect the diversity through using different languages from the nationalities represented at the school. Students' work, awareness posters, action posters, signs, notices and other forms of displays show that multilingualism is promoted.<br>- Different languages are heard from parents, staff and students and whole learning community at large.<br>-Celebrations and special events include all the languages and cultures of the school. </div><div>-A multilingual welcome sign is visible at the entrance of the school. </div><div>- A data chart about languages in school is prominent. </div><div><br><br><br></div>]]></description>
