https://padlet.com/gisellec2027/q325e0rpu6mcw93w By Judy Blume en-us 2020-09-23 15:40:51 UTC 2025-11-07 00:04:06 UTC hello@padlet.com gisellec2027 https://padlet.com/gisellec2027/q325e0rpu6mcw93w/wish/772994450 Judy Blume's, Are You There, God?  It's me, Margaret, is a 171 page coming of age story for pre-teen girls.  Eleven year old, Margaret Ann Simon, is the main character and has just moved from New York to New Jersey.   She meets new friends including a "secret" group of girls called the PTS (Pre-Teen Sensations), who gossip about boys and they talk about changes in their bodies which makes Margaret jealous and wonder if she's normal.  She feels this way because everyone else seems to be growing up faster than she is.  She always prays to God that she will start growing up soon so she can catch up to her friends.

I thought this was a really funny and, in some parts, sad and emotional book.  Judy Blume writes in a funny and sometimes uncomfortable way because she explains that girls bodies are changing, and this is something only girls would understand.  She also talks about Margaret's point of view when her parents are fighting and her plans get changed (which makes her very angry).

I would recommend this book for girls between the ages of 10 and 13 because it helps to explain what is happening in girls' bodies.  It also makes you understand that you are normal and nothing weird is happening to you because everyone grows at a different pace.  ]]> 2020-09-23 17:03:05 UTC https://padlet.com/gisellec2027/q325e0rpu6mcw93w/wish/772994450 gisellec2027 https://padlet.com/gisellec2027/q325e0rpu6mcw93w/wish/999044284 Kohei Horikoshi's "My Hero  Academia" is about a world where humans have miraculous power.  The main character Izuku Midoriya (Deku) was born quirkless (Quirk=ability or power).  Being born quirkless was the worst possible thing that could have ever happened to young Midoriya, having a quirk like his idol All Might was his biggest dream so you can only imagine how this crushed five year old Deku.

Deku was bullied by a childhood 'friend' Katsuki Bakugou because of his lack of having a quirk, to make it worse Bakugou had an amazing power.  In a world full of heros theres bound to be some villains.  These "villains" call themselves "The League Of Villains" are led by villain Tomura Shigaraki(Quirk= decay; allows him to disintegrate whatever he touches with all five fingers.

I've got to admit if you get attached to anime characters and get sad when something bad happens to them it might be a little bit sad, it was for me. I would also recommend to watch the anime too. I really liked the book and thought it was interesting.
Although it was really sad at some parts.  I found interesting that in the end she went back with her family to Manzanar for the memories.

I would highly recommend this book to people who like non-fiction books.  I would also recommend to people who like to learn about the Japanese internment camps. Overall this was a great book.

Monsters tend to underestimate Saitama until they get One Punched to death.  One Punch is all it takes for him to beat any monster, although some are  extremely powerful it may take a few more but for the most part its only ne.

I would recommend this manga to people who like anime or have watched the One Punch anime. I'm excited to read the next volume because I really enjoyed this manga.
