Poor people are denied due process by the cash bail system, and the majority of these people are black and brown. The police unequally target people of color, particularly black males, and when people are killed by police they are denied their rights as a citizen. As mentioned in the video, schools in impoverished areas are underfunded due to the structure of property taxes funding schools. So, we need to combat racism in our school and communities but naming the systems and actively working to deconstruct them with those who are marginalized within the current system. I really don't think there are reform fixes that will do for now.
