This model tells me that as one star moves further away from the Earth that it also gets dimmer or as I should say going away from the Earth, but it's smaller. If it is smaller and it is bright that is not a relative. However the star that is near the Earth is bigger in size but its brighter. Even though both of the stars are the same size , it is just the distance that is making them look smaller and greater in size.

The closer it is, the bigger it seems, but two things can be the exact same size, but the farther away one is, it has more space it has to cover, so the light dims, so there is more light to cover the space around it, so its figure gets blobby and hazy, and smaller. When its closer, there is less space for it to shine on, so it gets brighter and bigger.
