When you eat the plum, it isn't gone or disappeared, meaning you have to find another one. The plum is now a part of you, nurturing your spirit so that you can grow. Kindness can not be exploited. It is taken in and preserved, so that it may become a part of you, and its lessons teach you to give your kindness to anyone you meet.
