Personally, I think that the article describes very well what can you do to save a meeting. Indeed, it thoroughly explains how it can be done, and it uses a real example to illustrate what is being said. The only thing that I'd add, is to frequently recall what the meeting is for, and don't wait for the meeting to go off track to do it.
Nevertheless, is a practical article that will surely help numerous managers who quite often may find themselves in this situation.

Kimberly

To me, this article is a great solution when a meeting has gotten tense. It shares concrete exemples of tense situations and easy ways to avoid drifts or to bring peace back. I totally agree with this article and i've tried these methods during a meeting as part of my association and... It worked! Maybe I'd add one single thing : to avoid tensions it is important to remind people the rules governing community life before starting the meeting. However, this article remains an efficient tool for managers nowadays.

This article explains quite clearly how to run a meeting that is beginning to get tense. The fact of giving step by step the process to follow to calm this situation seems to me to be a good way to guide the manager. In addition, the use of concrete examples can illustrate this situation very well. One could possibly think of listing the topics to be discussed during the meeting to avoid scattering and create a situation of chaos.
